555747 Box tree moth trap
• Efficient infestation monitoring to protect box trees. The box tree moth trap uses pheromones to lure in
box tree moths. The moths fall into a container from which they cannot escape.
• No poison — the sex pheromone lures in only male box tree moths. The trap is therefore absolutely safe
for bees and other beneficial insects. It provides an easy and biologically sound way to monitor the level
of infestation.
• Easy to set up and empty. The trap is simply placed in a shady spot in the box tree using a hanging wire.
Due to the green colour, the trap is hardly noticeable in a box tree garden and therefore easily blends
into its surroundings.
• In case of infestation: Spray the tree using a pressure cleaner or garden hose and collect the remaining
caterpillars by hand. In the case of intensive infestation, the moths/caterpillars can be sprayed with
insecticides and eliminated.
